Peugeot 107

The Peugeot 107 is a city car produced by the French automaker Peugeot since summer 2005.
The 107 was developed by the B-Zero project of Peugeot and Citroën in a joint-venture with Toyota; the Citroën C1 and Toyota Aygo are rebadged versions of the same car. All three are built at the new facilities of the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech joint-venture in the city of Kolin, Czech Republic. It is a four-seater available as a three or five-door hatchback. The 107 replaces the 106, which ceased production at the end of 2003 after 12 years.
So far the 107 has proved to be quite popular with British buyers, giving them a more modern and practical alternative to the likes of the Ford Ka and Vauxhall Agila.

Peugeot 307

The Peugeot 307 is a family car produced by the French Peugeot manufacturer since 2001. It was awarded the European Car of the Year title for 2002, and continues in production as of 2008 despite the launch of the 308 (its intended successor) in 2007.
The 307 was presented as the 307 Prométhée prototype at the 2000 Mondial de l’Automobile. The production hatchback versions were introduced to the European markets in 2001 as a successor to the Peugeot 306. The 307 was also sold in Australia, New Zealand and Asia as well; but not Canada, although it was sold in Mexico in 1.6 and 2.0 petrol versions.
It remains in production as of 2008, despite the launch of the 308 (its successor) during the summer of 2007.
The 307s makes use of a reworked 306 platform, that can also be found on the Citroën Xsara as well as the 1991 Citroën ZX. However, the car is larger than the 306 in every direction.
The 307 continued the company’s styling first seen on the Peugeot 206 and Peugeot 607. With upswept front lights and a steeply rising bonnet leading to a highly sloped windscreen (and the upright rear doors first seen on the 206), the 307 departed from the Pininfarina-designed themes employed on the previous two generations of Peugeots, as introduced with the Peugeot 205, and ending with the (evolutionary) Peugeot 406.
Its height is 1510 mm (59.4 in), which is in the middle of the spectrum between small family cars (between 1400 and 1450 mm) and compact MPVs (between 1600 and 1650 mm). Some consider the 307 as a low compact MPV rather than a tall small family car, because of its height and profile.
At launch, the 307 was launched as a 3- and 5-door hatchback, though in 2002 the 307 range was expanded with the introduction of two estates, called the 307 Break and 307 SW. Externally they are almost identical, with the exception that the SW version has silver roof bars and a 3/4 length panoramic glass roof as standard equipment. Internally though, the 307 Break is a conventional estate, while the SW features an optional third row of removable seats so it is more flexible due to its MPV-like configuration. The SW exists because Peugeot did not develop a compact MPV spin-off as Citroën did with the Xsara Picasso, instead preferring to offer a more flexible version but maintaining the style and road manners of an estate.
The 307 CC, a cabriolet with a retractable hardtop, was launched in 2003 to compete against the new European coupé cabriolets.
In 2004, a four-door saloon version of the 307 was launched in China. The 307 is produced for the Chinese market by the Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile, a joint venture with the PSA Group. This model is also built in Argentina since early 2004.

In 2005, the 307 was revised to meet the onslaught of rivals which had been launched since the introduction of the 307 in 2001. The front of the car was restyled featuring mildly revised lights, a new bonnet and the removal of the trademark Peugeot grille between the headlights. With the latter change, along with a new front bumper, the front of the car was now dominated by a larger air intake, as first established on the Peugeot 407, and which was now effectively the company’s new grille.
The 307’s replacement, the 308, was launched in September 2007.
The Peugeot 307 WRC, a World Rally Car based on the 307 CC, replaced the very successful 206 WRC in the World Rally Championship in 2004. The vehicle, nicknamed “The Flying Frog” and “The Whale”, was plagued by transmission problems and only began to come into its element in competition towards the end of its factory-supported participation in the WRC. It has three WRC victories to its name, but saw its competition life cut short at the end of 2005 by PSA’s self-enforced withdrawal from top-level rallying. It topped the podium in the series on the 2004 and 2005 Neste Rally Finland as well as in the 2005 Rally Japan. All the victories were at the hands of double world champion Marcus Grönholm. A private undertaking for the 2006 World Championship season by seasoned Peugeot preparatory firm Bozian Racing, dubbed OMV Peugeot Norway World Rally Team, has since largely assumed responsibility for the running of WRC-spec 307s. Manfred Stohl and Henning Solberg were named as the driving personnel.
The 307 WRC will be remembered for the accident that befell WRC competitors Markko Märtin and Michael Park on September 18, 2005, which resulted in Park’s death. On stage 15 of Wales Rally GB, Märtin lost control of his 307 WRC and collided with a tree, killing Park instantly. This was the first fatality in a WRC event since 1993.
In January 2006, the UK What Car? magazine reported that Peugeot has designed a diesel-electric hybrid engine for the 307 that can achieve 83 mpg–imp (3.4 L/100 km / 69.1 mpg–U.S.). The vehicle is in the concept stages. In addition, a diesel-electric hybrid, unlike gas-electric vehicles, could be totally independent of oil since pure biodiesel can theoretically be used in any diesel engine.

Peugeot 607

The Peugeot 607 is an executive car produced by the French automaker Peugeot since 1999.
The 607 was launched in 1999, to replace the 605. It used its predecessor’s chassis but had an all-new, more modern exterior design. The engine range (2.2 and 3.0 petrol, and 2.2 diesel) was completely new. Equipment levels were also high, with all models getting air conditioning, CD player, electric windows, airbags, anti-lock braking system and central locking as standard.
The 607 was restyled in 2004, most notable modifications being the new front end and the 2.7 HDi V6 engine engine, capable of more than 200 bhp (150 kW), mated to a new 6-speed automatic gearbox, which is now also available on the V6 petrol model.
The 607 is frequently used as a taxi on the Continent; Portugal uses them as airport taxis in Faro Airport; these versions are usually 3.0 V6 or 2.2 HDi versions; the Benelux countries also use them as well, but less frequently at airports.
The Peugeot 607 Paladine is a special landaulet version of the 607 which was developed and built in 2000 cooperation with Heuliez, as a concept car. The engine is the 3.0 V6. It is lengthened by 500 millimetres (20 in) (making it more than 5 m (200 in) long) and the rear part is equipped with a retractable metallic roof similar to the one of the Peugeot 206 or 307 CC. It is a one-off design.
The special leather interior has been developed in cooperation with Hermès.
The car was first presented in Geneva motor show in 2000. It was first used seven years later by President Nicolas Sarkozy for his inauguration on May 16, 2007. Meanwhile, the car had been retrofitted in accordance with the 2004 restyling of the 607 (updated front part).

Peugeot Boxer

The Fiat Ducato is a large van produced by Fiat. The Fiat Ducato is the same van as the Citroën Jumper and the Peugeot Boxer, which are all very popular vans to convert into motorhomes. All these models are produced at the same factories in Italy and Brazil.
Ducato was first launched in 1981 then redesigned for 1993: engines were 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol or 1.9 diesel. Trim levels were base, S and SX. Car was manufactured in Sevel Sud factory in Italy. Other almost identical cars were: Alfa Romeo AR6, Peugeot J5, Citroën C25 and Talbot Express (1986–1992). Model variants were named after the carrying capacity: Ducato 10 (1.0 tons), Ducato 13 (1.3 tons), Ducato 14 (1.4 tons) and Ducato Maxi 18 (1.8 tons).
New Sevel produced version. Peugeot changed it’s name to Boxer and Citroën is named as Jumper (Relay in the UK). One of engine options was Fiat 2.5 L diesel, which was replaced with 2.8 L Iveco/Sofim engine in 1998 .
The Ducato Goods Transport has a payload of 12 m cubed and comes with a choice of four engines. The 2.0 petrol, 2.0 JTD, 2.3 JTD 16v or the 2.8 JTD. They all conform to the Euro 3 standards and offer programmed maintenance management. The range includes two types of gearbox: a mechanical box with five speeds plus reverse and an automatic transmission with four speeds plus reverse.
The Ducato Passenger Transport has a carrying capacity of 6 to 9 people and comes with the 2.3 litre JTD 16v engine, which again is Euro 3 compliant and delivers 110 bhp.
The Ducato Combi is a mixture of the Goods Transport and the Passenger Transport. It is ideal for the transport of people and goods alike, and it can accommodate up to 9 occupants. Model designations were Ducato 10 (1 ton), Ducato 14 (1.4 tons and Ducato Maxi 18 (1.8 tons).
Second series was restyled in 2003 with the addition of rear and side bump mouldings and revised front grille. The engine range was: 2.0 JTD, 2.3 JTD 16v and 2.8 JTD, 2.5 diesel was dropped way. Model designations were this time: Ducato 29 (2.9 tons), Ducato 30 (3.0 tons), Ducato 33 (3.3 tons) and Ducato Maxi 35 (3.5 tons).
Newest generation Ducato was published in 2006. Car is available in many variants both for people and goods transport. Carrying capacity was again bigger and designations: Ducato 30 (3 tons), Ducato 33 (3.3 tons), Ducato Maxi 35 (3.5 tons) and Ducato Maxi 40 (4 tons).
This third generation Ducato has been available in Mexico since November 15, 2007 and over 30 different models are available. This third generation Ducato is only offered in the mexican market.This van is not sold elsewhere in the american continent.

Peugeot 406

The Peugeot 406 was a large family car from the French automaker Peugeot from 1995 to 2004. Available in sedan, station wagon and coupé bodystyles with a choice of gasoline or turbodiesel engines, the 406 replaced the Peugeot 405 in Peugeot’s lineup, and was itself replaced by the Peugeot 407. It used the same platform as the Citroën Xantia, though without that car’s sophisticated hydropneumatic suspension system.
The diesel versions were very popular, and the 406 became one of Europe’s best-selling diesel-powered cars.[citation needed] Initially, the car was available with 1.8 L and 2.0 L gasoline and 1.9 L turbodiesel engines, followed by a 110 bhp 2.1 L turbodiesel, turbocharged 2.0 L and 3.0 L gasoline V6 engines. The 2-door coupé was both designed and built by Italian designer Pininfarina, with choices of a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine or a 3.0 L V6, and from 2001, a 2.2 L HDi diesel engine.
The 406 was notably successful in the UK. It broke into the key UK fleet sales market, with 90 percent of units becoming company cars.[citation needed]

The 406 sedan was featured in the French Taxi movie series. In Taxi the 406 has a modified 3.0 V6 capable of tremendous speed and a pop-out front and rear spoiler. In Taxi 2 the car was the facelifted 406 which also had pop-out spoilers and wings to aid aerial movement, such as when the car “jumps” over French army tanks trying to block its escape. In the movie it is capable of reaching a topspeed of 306 km/h. In Taxi 3, the 406 is further upgraded to be able to travel in icy terrain. The fourth movie Taxi 4 features a 407 instead which sounds like it has a tuned V8 under its hood. More gadgets and pop-out spoilers were added.

The Peugeot 106 is a supermini produced by French automaker Peugeot from 1991 to 2003. It also formed the basis of one of the earliest commercially successful electric cars.
The Peugeot 106 was introduced in the autumn of 1991, as the French marque’s entry level car slotting in beneath the 205. It was a substantial development of the Citroën AX. It was heavier, safer, more solid feeling than the AX or 205. It was aimed directly at the Renault Clio which had gone into production a year earlier, and as a more modern alternative to the slightly larger 205 which had been a massive success for Peugeot and was still proving popular almost a decade after its launch. Winning praise for its modern styling, comfortable ride, excellent handling and cheap running costs, the 106 quickly became popular. Going against the appeal were limited interior space and low-rent interior plastics.
Sales in the UK were strong, with the 106 being the 11th most popular new car in the country in 1993.
Its power came from 1.0-litre and 1.1-litre carburettor petrol engines and a 1.4-litre fuel injection unit, as well as a 1.4 L Diesel engine. A 1.6-litre fuel injected engine was introduced on the 1995 XSi model, with 120 mph (193 km/h) top speed.
In the UK trim levels were basic XN, mid-range XR, top-spec XT, and the sporty XSi model mentioned above. In addition, from 1994 onwards there was a “Rallye” model offered. This was different from the XSi model with the TU2 series 1.3 litre petrol injection engine (100 bhp). This was designed for clubman rallying and the sporting driver, and had little in the way of creature comforts, such as electric windows, power assisted steering etc. On the phase 1 model, a sunroof and anti lock brakes were the only options available from the factory, although many came with foglights or spoilers from the XSi models. From 1997-1998 the Phase 2 Rallye was offered, and these combined the light, nimble chassis of the Phase 1 Rallye, with a 1.6 litre petrol injection engine (TU5J2, 103 bhp) and updated looks and safety features of the later models (1996-1999). Optional Extras on the Phase 2 Rallye were; Power assisted steering, Anti-Lock brakes and a sunroof. From 1996-1999 trim levels were XN, XL, XR, XT, XS and GTi. In France a five-door version of both XS and GTi versions were offered.
In early 1996 the Peugeot 106 also formed the basis for the near identical Citroën Saxo, and at this time the 106 received a facelift which saw all engines get fuel injection and equipment levels raised. The XSi was dropped in favour of a basically similar new GTi model added to the range.
At the end of 1998, the Peugeot 106 range was slimmed down to the sparsely-equipped 1.1 L petrol and 1.5 L diesel models as well as the 1.6 GTi. This was due to the launch of the larger 206, which stole many sales from the 106. Peugeot initially intended to phase the 106 out and market the 206 as its replacement, but later decided to replace the 106 with another all-new model.
After 12 years in production, the last Peugeot 106 rolled off the production line late in 2003. Its replacement, the 107, has been available since early 2005. By the time production ceased, the Peugeot 106 was one of the longest running production cars still made in Europe but it was still proving fairly popular, especially in its home market of France.
Although it was being left behind by more modern cars with more in the way of quality, refinement, space and comfort, it was still considered one of the best drivers’ cars on the European mini-car market.

Peugeot 308

The Peugeot 308 is a small family car produced by the French car manufacturer PSA. It was unveiled on June 5, 2007 and is the first car of the 008 generation of Peugeot models.
Loosely intended as the replacement for the Peugeot 307 (which remains in production), the new vehicle was based upon the old 307’s chassis, while having a different bodywork and being slightly larger in size.
The Peugeot 308 currently holds the record of the most fuel efficient mainstream car, averaging 3.13 L/100 km (75 mpg–U.S. / 90 mpg–imp) over a distance of 14,580 kilometres (9,060 mi).
In the United Kingdom (a major market for Peugeot, and where some of their models are made), television adverts aired with the slogan “the drive of your life”. The development code for the car was “Project T7″[citation needed].
The pictures set for official unveiling were leaked on May 31, 2007, a week ahead of schedule. Sales began in September 2007.
A 2+2 coupé concept car development of the 308, the Peugeot 308 RC Z, was presented by Peugeot at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. This coupé concept is 18 cm lower than the standard car. It has similar proportions to the Audi TT.
A station wagon concept version of the 308, the Peugeot 308 SW Prologue, was also unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. In February 2008 the production version was announced, to go on sale in the UK in June that year. The finished product went on show at the 78th International Geneva Motor Show in March 2008.
A cabriolet with a retractable hardtop is also expected to eventually arrive and replace the Peugeot 307 CC. Cost is predicted to be around £20,000, to compare with other small executive coupés.[citation needed]
In the UK, the basic 308 1.4 litre 3-door hatchback is expected to retail at around £12,000 — a similar price to the equivalent 307 that it replaces. It is cheaper than the Honda Civic, similarly priced to the Volkswagen Golf, but slightly more expensive than the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra.
Robert Bosch GmbH is supplying hybrid diesel-electric technology to Peugeot 308. A prototype 308 equipped with this technology was displayed in the Frankfurt car show ‘07.
