UK new car sales

UK new car sales seem to be bearing the brunt of the credit crunch. New cars sale have fallen by more or less 20 percent presenting the lowest figure since 1966, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). By looking at the best and worst selling new cars you may be able to decide which car is better to buy now as prices usually reflect the supply and demand rights. The Vauxhall Corsa is one of the top selling cars followed by the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra. The opposite of this, the Aston Martin is rated as being particularly poor in the premium brands market. Next in the worst sales billing is Land Rover followed by Jaguar. Even in times of the economic crisis there are people who can afford better new cars and it looks like the right time for them to make a decision. The additional factor to consider while decision making is the kind of engine the new vehicle should have - as the fuel is an economic commodity. Market trends show customers are moving towards diesel engines because prices of gasoline seem to fluctuate too much. So the final purchasing decision shall include two factors - the new car make at fair price sold with an effective engine, where the ‘effective’ shall probably simply mean – low fuel consumption.
